I am a Licensed Clinical Therapist, a first-generation individual from an immigrant family, an obsessive plant mom, and the Founder & CEO of TriHealing. Additionally, I hold the role of Regional Director at California's largest community-based Mental Health organization. I am proud and overjoyed to introduce you to our intimate community of BIPOC therapists who are deeply committed to helping people. TriHealing was born out of my passion for serving the BIPOC community and individuals who are seeking personal growth. I firmly believe that talk therapy alone is not the sole solution to everything. Our physical health is just as crucial in the healing process, and I emphasize the importance of addressing both aspects in our work together. I am dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive space where individuals from diverse backgrounds can thrive and find the support they need.
Growing up in a traditional Vietnamese household, my parents instilled in me the importance of cultural rituals, loyalty to family, and holding strong values both inside and outside the home. However, like many first-generation kids, I also experienced struggles with cultural and generational differences, the over-critical parent(s), the "never good enough" mentality, and a sense of emotional distance within myself and at times, within my relationship with my family.
Through my own journey, I learned to challenge cultural norms, embracing my biculturalism and making decisions on how I wanted to experience the world as an independent Vietnamese-American woman. I patiently (and sometimes impatiently) learned ways to communicate with my family, address my needs, and share my emotions in a way that ultimately improved our approach and relationship with one another. This resulted in me feeling safe and supported. The journey was not easy, but I was ready and willing to do the work to live a more balanced life, free from attachment to suffering. In our work together, I hope to support you in finding your inner peace as well.
My approach to therapy is not passive. I will frequently challenge you to step outside your comfort zone, identify self-sabotaging patterns, and reflect on unhealthy energies surrounding you. Importantly, there is no "one-size-fits-all" in therapy. My role is to collaborate with you to design a supportive, individualized, and creative space for you to explore—a safe space where you can be your true self and share it with the world when you are ready. Together, we can embark on a journey of healing and personal growth.
"A change is brought about because ordinary people do extraordinary things." - Barack Obama
In my professional experience, which dates back to 2009, I have worked across various settings, specializing in high-acuity trauma, domestic violence, victims of trafficking, sexual/emotional/physical abuse, substance abuse/dependency, severe depression, anxiety, and system-impacted families in foster care, adoption, and probation. As a woman of color in a leadership position, I strive to inspire and empower my fellow women to step out of their comfort zones, recognize their limits and potentials, and become strong and effective leaders in our communities.
During my free time, I indulge in my passion for travel & exploring unfamiliar territories, immersing myself in nature, and discovering new restaurants and food. I also have a knack for capturing moments through photography, resulting in an unhealthy collection (hoarding) of cherished memories.
Currently, I provide a hybrid of in-person and virtual therapy sessions. I travel between San Jose and Chicago, and when I am in San Jose, we can meet in person. Otherwise, our sessions will be conducted through Telehealth. If you prefer only in-person sessions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me, and I can help connect you to therapists whom I adore and trust.

As a black woman who was raised in the vibrant Bay Area, I intimately understand the challenges of navigating a society that often imposes limitations on my identity, mobility, and potential. In today's world, being seen as a person of color carries with it a multitude of intricacies and complexities. It can leave you feeling hopeless, isolated, misunderstood, disrespected, and compelled to wear various masks simply to accommodate others' comfort. Life itself is a blend of pain, fear, anxiety, and injustice, but it also holds the potential for light, love, and compassion. The question that arises is: how can we find balance in our day-to-day lives?
I want you to know that you are not alone. My healing approach is firmly rooted in creating a safe, honest, and supportive space where you can wholeheartedly embrace your authentic self and cultivate the confidence to recognize your inherent worth. I am particularly passionate about working with couples and families to enhance their communication, partnership, and mutual acceptance.
With over 6 years of experience in Community Mental Health, I have had the privilege of working with at-risk youth (ages 5-18), transitional-aged individuals (ages 18-26), and families who have been impacted by systemic challenges and toxic generational patterns. I have also worked extensively with adults who face severe developmental delays and/or autism. My areas of specialization encompass a wide range, including ABA practice, trauma (both vicarious and experienced), supporting victims of trafficking, addressing substance dependency, assisting individuals in foster care, and working with those involved with the probation system.
My leadership experience spans from being a Program Manager for a high-level initiative that supports underprivileged communities affected by monitoring organizations related to social services and/or probation, to a regional quality manager within a large corporation. I am proud to have joined TriHealing as a therapist in 2019 because I wholeheartedly believe in its mission and vision. In 2021, I became an invested Partner and now oversee the operational aspect of the business. Being a Black woman in a leadership role fills me with immense pride, and I am enthusiastic about empowering and inspiring other women.
During our time together, my goal is to empower you, nurture growth from within, and provide unwavering support on your unique journey. The therapy room is a space that you control, and I am here to offer a safe haven where you can freely express your truth. I approach our discussions without judgment or resistance, enabling us to explore social stigmas, trauma, and sexual identity with unwavering support and positive regard. I invite you to step into a realm of acceptance and allowance, where your experiences and emotions are respected, celebrated, and validated.

"We are the ones we have been waiting for" - June Jordan. This powerful quote, shared with me by a beloved mentor, serves as the foundation of my outlook on life and my therapeutic practice.
In a world that often tells us we are broken, flawed, and unworthy, my personal experience has shown me the complete opposite. I believe that as human beings, we are inherently whole, intentional, and powerful. However, this truth can become obscured by our traumas, histories, and the social or familial beliefs imposed upon us. It is through these obstacles that we lose touch with the authentic and powerful truth that resides at the core of our being.
As a woman, person of color, immigrant from India, and mother, I have faced my own share of hurdles in finding and embodying my authenticity and truth. External disapproval, hatred, and cultural pressures have often acted as deterrents on my personal journey. Yet, with the unwavering support of my community, the love from my chosen family, and the strength to heal my own traumas, I have discovered my path—a path that allows me to be connected to others while embracing the uniqueness of my own journey.
With over 8 years of experience in teaching, guiding, and working with individuals who have struggled with purpose, relationship problems, and traumatic experiences that have hindered their personal growth, I consider myself blessed to walk alongside others on their own journeys. In therapy, I strive to create a safe and empowering space for you to fully embrace your authentic self and learn to accept all the different parts of yourself through your lived experiences, without judgment or rejection. It is my privilege to accompany those who are interested in embracing this transformative journey.
I am excited to have the opportunity to walk alongside you as you embark on this path of self-discovery and growth. Together, we can navigate the challenges, heal the wounds, and uncover the immense power and potential that lies within you.

On my journey to becoming a therapist, I was fortunate to have an inspirational mentor, Professor Fox. He instilled in me the importance of being open-minded and curious, to seek understanding in life, relationships, and the shared humanity that connects us all. I firmly believe that every person's experience is unique, even if we come from similar backgrounds or families. Despite our differences, we are all human at our core.
Personally, it took me years to navigate my own experiences as an Arab-American. I had to break free from old family patterns, learn to assert myself and speak my truth as an act of self-love and respect, and discover how to effectively communicate my emotions in a way that others could truly hear me. Joining the TriHealing family is a natural fit for me, as our mission aligns with my own advocacy to reduce and re-educate the stigma surrounding mental health, particularly within the BIPOC community. Together, we can reclaim our power.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 10 years of experience, I have had the privilege of serving my community. My work has focused on supporting underserved and underprivileged families in Santa Clara County through various non-profit organizations. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families dealing with intellectual disabilities, autism, chronic depression, severe anxiety, and various forms of trauma, including physical, emotional, sexual, and mental traumas.
The pandemic has left many of us feeling confused, angry, and anxious, as we grapple with processing the profound changes happening around us. Balancing work and life, self-esteem and purpose, socialization and isolation, family and relationship issues, transitions and adjustments, and loss and grief are just a few of the challenges we may face. I believe that how we handle stress and conflict today is influenced by our past relationships and experiences. Generational patterns and cultural factors shape our movements, speech, behavior, and responses in the world.
In therapy, I take an integrative approach. We will explore your past together, identifying patterns that we may want to change. I value the importance of challenging you in the therapy room while creating a space where you feel empowered, safe, and vulnerable. Building trust and safety takes time, effort, and authenticity, and I am committed to being patient and flowing at your pace. Therapy doesn't have to be rigid; I believe that humor and laughter are essential and healing. In addition to being an LMFT, I have also been a fitness coach and teach HIIT classes for over 8 years. I believe that moving our bodies and breaking a sweat can help alleviate stress and improve overall well-being. We can even incorporate outdoor activities like hiking, boxing, longboarding, and of course, I have a soft spot for dogs—I love them!

I am proud to say that I am first and foremost a dedicated mother to two amazing children. Through both my personal and professional experiences, I have specialized in working with special needs families, a passion that was ignited by my extraordinary son, who has an extra sprinkle of ASD. Being raised by a single mother and surrounded by a strong community of Latinas, I have had to navigate the expectations and judgments of a traditional Mexican household. This clash of cultures and generational trauma has shaped my journey and instilled in me a drive to overcome obstacles. As a first-generation college graduate and a woman in a leadership position at a prominent mental health organization, I have learned that being "the first" can be a superpower and a driving force for personal growth. Alongside my professional accomplishments, I have also developed a deep appreciation for coffee – a small indulgence that brings joy to my life.
Since becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2016, I have built over 14 years of experience working with minors, couples, and families. I am also endorsed by the State of California as an Infant Family Early Childhood Mental Health (IFECMH) Specialist and am particularly passionate about dyadic work. Parenting has been a humbling experience for me, and I strive to create a safe and supportive space where parents can feel heard, ask questions, heal, and grow. My professional expertise lies in working with individuals and families facing challenges related to attachment, depression, anxiety, and various forms of grief and trauma, whether it be from childhood or more recent experiences.
Have you ever found yourself questioning why you react in a certain way? Or spoken words in the heat of the moment, unsure if they truly represent who you are? Maybe you've felt safe in some relationships and not in others, or experienced guilt after making a particular choice. Perhaps you're trying to make sense of the complex dynamics of your different cultures. If any of these resonate with you, know that you are not alone. My approach to therapy centers around active reflection and pushing our limits, allowing for greater insight, empowerment, and healing. While working in the present can offer quick gratification, it is equally important to explore how our past experiences ripple through our lives, shaping the beautifully dynamic individuals we are today. This exploration can lead to gratitude, acceptance, and self-love. By loving ourselves and embracing every piece of who we are, we open ourselves up to love others and receive love in return. Healing is possible. This space is for you. Together, we can dive right into the depths or gently dip our toes into the water – whatever feels right for you.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience working with at-risk children/teens, family systems, and adults who are struggling to find their potential. I strongly believe that we have the deepest understanding of ourselves, but sometimes lack compassion when reflecting on our lives and choices. By understanding the systems and structures that influence us, we can bring more balance into the way we perceive ourselves and interact with the world.
Having been born and raised in the UK, I made the decision to emigrate to California in 2000 after completing my undergraduate studies in Social Science. Continuing my education in the US, I obtained a Master’s degree in Psychology. My training encompasses various areas of behavioral health, focusing on the complexities of human experiences. I have a specialization in addressing the impact of abuse, trauma, and neglect. Additionally, I have received training in national models of addiction prevention and crisis de-escalation. I truly enjoy working with individuals, families, and couples. I am particularly excited about facilitating a Men’s group that explores vulnerability, relationships, work/life balance, common stigmas, and much more!
I understand that every individual exists within a complex network of pressures, expectations, and relationships. My work is centered around helping people confront their feelings about their realities and guiding them towards the changes that will be most meaningful for them. I am energized and committed to helping clients develop a compelling vision of their future selves and identifying tangible steps towards achieving their goals.
I am thrilled to join the TriHealing family as a therapist. I believe that therapy doesn't have to be confined to a stuffy room with a few individuals; it is an opportunity for natural human connections, and that is precisely what I bring to the space. Alongside my clinical experience, I bring humor and a natural ability to connect with others. In addition to my work as a therapist, I serve as a Senior Regional Director of a large nonprofit organization. I am a grateful father, an excellent parallel parker (and I prefer reverse parking whenever possible), a passionate mountain biker, a reluctant swimmer, and a committed friend.
I am excited to embark on this therapeutic journey with you, providing support, guidance, and a safe space for personal growth and healing. Together, we can navigate the complexities of your life and work towards a more fulfilling future.

I'm a first-generation immigrant, a single mother of two beautiful biracial children, and I am intimately familiar with the struggles of defining my identity in various environments. Whether it be within family dynamics, educational settings, or peer groups, I understand the frustration of feeling like something is missing and the challenges that come with finding the puzzle pieces needed to feel fulfilled.
At the age of 12, I moved to the United States from France, speaking no English. As a teenager, this meant I had to navigate a culture I was thrown into and had little understanding of. Through the dynamic, confusing, exciting, and at times painful process of self-discovery, I learned the instrumental role other people can play in healing oneself. It is this understanding and passion for helping others heal that drives me, as I know firsthand the importance of self-love and the need for personal discovery in reaching one's full potential and becoming the person they desire to be.
My professional experience is rooted in the public Community Mental Health sector, where I have worked for over 6 years with at-risk youth and their families. I am a program leader at California's largest nonprofit organization focused on serving the highest acuity youth in the foster care system. My specialty areas include working with children, adolescents, and transitional age youth (ages 5 to 21), foster care, probation, high-acuity trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use/dependency, and victims of trafficking. However, I am not limited to those areas and am more than qualified to work with adults as well.
As a mother, a friend, an artist, a food lover, and a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I have learned many lessons on how to grow, accept, and love each chapter of my life. I continuously evolve to become a better version of myself because I recognize that personal growth is a lifelong journey. I also acknowledge that sometimes, a little help and guidance from others is both useful and necessary.
My approach to therapy is simple: I believe it needs to be a strong partnership. Taking the first step is often the hardest part. I understand that therapy can be daunting and uncomfortable, but I genuinely believe that it is also a rewarding and life-altering experience if you allow it to be. I will intentionally create a trusting and non-judgmental space for you to share, process, cry, and laugh. Together, we can navigate your journey, unfold all that you aspire to be, and work towards helping you achieve your goals.

In my perspective, we each have an ordained path in life, one that comes with both trials and triumphs. Along this path, we encounter people who illuminate our darkest moments. Just as I have received guidance and support from others during my own experiences, I aim to pay it forward by being a guiding light for those on their path to success or recovery.
I wholeheartedly embrace the strength-based philosophy embodied by the Wraparound practice model, which centers around valuing your voice as the expert of your own life. Throughout my journey, my clients have become my greatest teachers, revealing the power and resilience of individuals facing life's character-building challenges. My commitment lies in helping you develop and trust your inherent capacities for healing through self-discovery, acceptance, and compassion.
I am deeply motivated to contribute to the underrepresented number of male therapists available to support men and men of color. As an Associated Clinical Social Worker with 15 years of community-based experience, I have dedicated myself to working with at-risk children/teens and system-impacted families in underserved communities. This passion was driven from witnessing my own family's dedication to supporting and serving our community for the past four decades. This inspired me to pursue my Master’s in Social Work and to continue the legacy! I firmly believe that with the right attitude, willingness, and a seed of faith, we can effectively navigate our trials.
As a Bay Area native, I currently reside in my hometown of East Palo Alto with my wife and three boys. My approach to therapy is deeply personalized and rooted in integrity and human connection. I strive to provide a safe healing space where you can process difficulties, express vulnerabilities, explore negative patterns, improve your communication skills, and enrich your relationships. My ultimate goal is to provide hope for you, in helping you obtain personal balance in your life so that you can find solace in yourself and your own definition of genuine happiness.
