Michelle Bozman
LMFT, BBS Supervisor
As a black woman who was raised in the vibrant Bay Area, I intimately understand the challenges of navigating a society that often imposes limitations on my identity, mobility, and potential. In today’s world, being seen as a person of color carries with it a multitude of intricacies and complexities. It can leave you feeling hopeless, isolated, misunderstood, disrespected, and compelled to wear various masks simply to accommodate others’ comfort. Life itself is a blend of pain, fear, anxiety, and injustice, but it also holds the potential for light, love, and compassion. The question that arises is: how can we find balance in our day-to-day lives?
I want you to know that you are not alone. My healing approach is firmly rooted in creating a safe, honest, and supportive space where you can wholeheartedly embrace your authentic self and cultivate the confidence to recognize your inherent worth. I am particularly passionate about working with couples and families to enhance their communication, partnership, and mutual acceptance.
With over 6 years of experience in Community Mental Health, I have had the privilege of working with at-risk youth (ages 5-18), transitional-aged individuals (ages 18-26), and families who have been impacted by systemic challenges and toxic generational patterns. I have also worked extensively with adults who face severe developmental delays and/or autism. My areas of specialization encompass a wide range, including ABA practice, trauma (both vicarious and experienced), supporting victims of trafficking, addressing substance dependency, assisting individuals in foster care, and working with those involved with the probation system.
My leadership experience spans from being a Program Manager for a high-level initiative that supports underprivileged communities affected by monitoring organizations related to social services and/or probation, to a regional quality manager within a large corporation. I am proud to have joined TriHealing as a therapist in 2019 because I wholeheartedly believe in its mission and vision. In 2021, I became an invested Partner and now oversee the operational aspect of the business. Being a Black woman in a leadership role fills me with immense pride, and I am enthusiastic about empowering and inspiring other women.
During our time together, my goal is to empower you, nurture growth from within, and provide unwavering support on your unique journey. The therapy room is a space that you control, and I am here to offer a safe haven where you can freely express your truth. I approach our discussions without judgment or resistance, enabling us to explore social stigmas, trauma, and sexual identity with unwavering support and positive regard. I invite you to step into a realm of acceptance and allowance, where your experiences and emotions are respected, celebrated, and validated.
