COVID-19 Update: We are accepting in-person clients and providing Telehealth services
As a black woman, growing up in the Bay Area -- I can relate to and have experienced the challenges of navigating through a society that limits my identity, mobility and clouds my potentials. Being seen as a person of color in today's world comes with many layers-- you may find yourself feeling hopeless, isolated, misunderstood, disrespected and feel pressured to wear different masks to ensure other people feel comfortable. Life can be compiled of pain, fear, anxiety, injustice and also light, love and compassion-- how do we balance ourselves day-to-day? You are not alone, my approach to healing is to provide a safe, honest and supportive space to embrace your authentic-self and gain confidence that you are more than enough. My passion in therapy is also working with couples and families to improve their communication, partnership and acceptance of what is.
My experiences are composed of more than 6 years of Community Mental Health with at-risk youth (ages 5-18), transitional aged (ages 18-26) and families affected by systems & unhealthy generational patterns to working with adults who are severely developmentally delayed and/or autistic. My specialty areas include ABA practice, vicarious and experienced severe trauma, victim(s) of trafficking, substance dependency, foster care, probation, (non)complex depression and anxiety. In addition to my love for direct service, I am currently a Clinical Program Manager for a high-level program that serves the under privileged communities impacted by monitoring organizations related to social services and/or probation. I am proud to be a Black woman in Leadership!
The time we spend together is to empower you, promote growth within and support you on your journey. You are in control of the room; I will provide you with a safe space to speak your truth. I have no judgement or resistance to discussing social stigmas, trauma, and sexual identity--only unconditional support and positive regard. I invite you to a space of allowance and acceptance.
