Fluent: French
I’m a first-generation immigrant, a single mother of two beautiful biracial children, and I am intimately familiar with the struggles of defining my identity in various environments. Whether it be within family dynamics, educational settings, or peer groups, I understand the frustration of feeling like something is missing and the challenges that come with finding the puzzle pieces needed to feel fulfilled.
At the age of 12, I moved to the United States from France, speaking no English. As a teenager, this meant I had to navigate a culture I was thrown into and had little understanding of. Through the dynamic, confusing, exciting, and at times painful process of self-discovery, I learned the instrumental role other people can play in healing oneself. It is this understanding and passion for helping others heal that drives me, as I know firsthand the importance of self-love and the need for personal discovery in reaching one’s full potential and becoming the person they desire to be.
My professional experience is rooted in the public Community Mental Health sector, where I have worked for over 6 years with at-risk youth and their families. I am a program leader at California’s largest nonprofit organization focused on serving the highest acuity youth in the foster care system. My specialty areas include working with children, adolescents, and transitional age youth (ages 5 to 21), foster care, probation, high-acuity trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use/dependency, and victims of trafficking. However, I am not limited to those areas and am more than qualified to work with adults as well.
As a mother, a friend, an artist, a food lover, and a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I have learned many lessons on how to grow, accept, and love each chapter of my life. I continuously evolve to become a better version of myself because I recognize that personal growth is a lifelong journey. I also acknowledge that sometimes, a little help and guidance from others is both useful and necessary.
My approach to therapy is simple: I believe it needs to be a strong partnership. Taking the first step is often the hardest part. I understand that therapy can be daunting and uncomfortable, but I genuinely believe that it is also a rewarding and life-altering experience if you allow it to be. I will intentionally create a trusting and non-judgmental space for you to share, process, cry, and laugh. Together, we can navigate your journey, unfold all that you aspire to be, and work towards helping you achieve your goals.
I am currently accepting in-person and telehealth sessions
