COVID-19 Update: We are accepting in-person clients and providing Telehealth services
We are the ones we have been waiting for" -June Jordan
This quote, shared with me by a beloved mentor, forms the cornerstone of my outlook towards life and my practice.
As human beings, we are told that we're broken, flawed, and unworthy. But my lived experience has been absolutely the opposite--in my experience, we are whole, intentional, and powerful beings. This truth has been clouded by our traumas, histories, and social or familial beliefs. But for these, we would embody the authentic and powerful truth at the core of our beings.
As a woman, person of color, immigrant, and mother, I have had my own hurdles to finding and embodying my authenticity and truth. External disapproval, hate, and cultural forces have often been deterrents in my own journey. With support from my community, love from my chosen family, and finding the strength to heal my traumas, I have been able to find my path--both connected to others but also uniquely mine.
I have had over 5 years of experience both teaching, guiding and working with people who have struggled with purpose, relationship problems, traumatic experiences that have hindered them from reaching their full potential. I have been blessed to be able to walk with others on their own journey. In therapy, I will hold a space that empowers you to be your authentic self and learn ways to accept all the different parts of ourselves through our lived experiences, without judgment or rejection. I look forward to the opportunity to walk alongside those who are interested in embracing this journey.
